What we collect
When you use a contact form on this site, we collect the name, email address or phone number, company name and message you type into it. That's it. We don't ask for anything else and we don't need anything else.
Basic technical information — our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of delivering the site. We don't use this to identify anyone.
We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or cookies for marketing.
Why we collect it
To reply to you. Nothing else. If you ask us about a website, we use your message and contact details to answer you and, if you become a client, to do the work you hired us for.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We don't share it, except with the service providers that run this site (our web host and our email provider), and only so they can deliver the service.
- We don't add you to a mailing list because you filled in the form.
If we emailed you first
If you received a cold email from us, we found your business through publicly available sources — your Google Business Profile and your public website. We used your business name, address, phone number, opening hours and public reviews.
Reply "STOP" to any of our emails and we'll never email you again. We honour that immediately and keep a permanent do-not-contact list so it can't happen twice by accident.
How long we keep it
Contact-form enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted. Client records: as long as you're a client, plus whatever period our accountant and tax rules require afterwards.
Your choices
Email info@moderntech.dev and ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct it, or
- delete it.
We'll do it within 30 days, free, and we won't ask you to justify the request.
Children
This site is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle client data will be emailed to clients directly.
